Phal Pal Stake Support Head
The Phal Pal Stake Support Head expands the functionality of the Phal Pal Orchid Support System by allowing the support arm to stabilize orchid bloom spikes.
When orchids enter bloom, developing flower spikes can place significant leverage on the plant and pot. The stake support head allows the Phal Pal system to stabilize the spike by anchoring the support arm directly to the spike or to a traditional stake.
This creates a stable support structure that reduces movement and helps keep bloom spikes aligned during flowering.
Reinforce Traditional Stakes
Most orchid growers use vertical stakes inserted into the potting media to guide developing bloom spikes. The stake support head allows the Phal Pal system to reinforce these stakes by providing additional support from the pot rim.
Instead of relying entirely on the stake pushed into the media, the spike gains stability from the rigid support arm anchored to the pot rim. This can be especially helpful when heavy blooms pull the spike off center or when potting media is loose after repotting.
Replace the Stake Entirely
For smaller orchids, the stake support head can also replace the traditional stake altogether.
Because the support arm originates from the pot rim, the spike can be guided and stabilized without inserting any stake into the potting media.
This approach works particularly well for smaller orchids such as the popular Coconut Orchid, where bloom spikes are lighter and easier to guide with the support arm alone.
The result is a cleaner display with fewer visible supports around the plant.
Compatible With All Phal Pal Mount Kits
The stake support head attaches directly to the Phal Pal support arm and can be used with any mount kit in the Phal Pal Orchid Support System.
Because the system is modular, the stake support head can be added at any time as orchids grow and develop bloom spikes.
